Changelog

Every release of Mueslimail, newest first, with the API changes developers need to know about.

Releases are numbered by date: YEAR.MONTH.N, where N counts the releases of that month. Breaking API changes never ship inside a version prefix; see Versions and SDKs for the deprecation policy.

To follow releases from a feed reader or a script, subscribe to the Atom feed or read the JSON feed. Every release is also tagged in the repository as release/<version> with the same notes.

2026.10.6: Log in with a password, Google or Microsoft

2026-10-26. You can now log in with your email and a password, or with your Google or Microsoft work account, as well as with a link by email.

  • New. Create an account and log in with your work email and a password. A link by email still confirms the address when you sign up.
  • New. Log in with Google or Microsoft, so a company that uses Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 signs in with the account it already has.
  • New. Set or change your password from the Security page of the console. A forgotten password is replaced by asking for a log in link and setting a new one.
  • New. New endpoints POST /v0/auth/password/login, POST /v0/auth/password/signup, GET and PUT /v0/auth/password, microsoft as a provider of GET /v0/auth/oauth/{provider}/start, and password and microsoft in GET /v0/auth/providers.

2026.10.5: What's new, and a home for developers

2026-10-26. You can now follow every improvement to Mueslimail in one place, and developers have their own portal.

  • New. A What's new page lists every release in plain words, and the console marks the latest one until you have read it.
  • New. Follow releases from any feed reader with the Atom feed at /changelog.xml.
  • New. The documentation moves to developer.mueslimail.com, with its own home, a changelog with API notes and a JSON feed at /changelog.json.
  • Fixed. The Search, Batch, Rules and API log pages no longer answer 404.

2026.10.4: A new way in

2026-10-26. Signing in and creating an account now happen on one clear page, with everything you need and nothing else.

  • Improved. The sign in and sign up pages share one calm layout, with a switch between the two.
  • Improved. After signing in you land where you were going, even when you switch between the two pages.

2026.10.3: Two doors to the console

2026-10-26. People with an account and people who are new now each have their own way into the console.

  • New. A dedicated page to create an account, separate from signing in.
  • Improved. The console shows two clear choices to someone who is not signed in: I have an account, or I am new.
  • Improved. The footer names the company behind Mueslimail, KaiFloor OÜ, and where the service is engineered and hosted.

2026.10.2: Mueslimail

2026-10-26. The product has a name, a home at mueslimail.com and a mail desk that works like the email you already know.

  • New. New name, logo and colours, at mueslimail.com.
  • New. A mail desk for each person: folders, starred, sent, spam and trash, a compose window and drafts.
  • New. New inboxes can get an address on mueslimail.com and receive mail from anywhere.
  • Improved. Members of a team open straight into their own inbox.
  • API. Drafts can be created, edited, sent and deleted over the API, and messages can be relabelled in batch with POST /v0/messages/batch.

2026.10.1: Switches per organization

2026-10-25. Features that are still settling can now be turned on for one organization at a time.

  • New. Rules, the inbox assistant, sign in with Google or GitHub and the request log can be enabled per organization.
  • Security. Fixes from a security review, more alerting and a fuller audit log.
  • API. /v1 is the current API version. /v0 keeps answering with the same behaviour and sends Sunset and Link headers until 31 December 2027.
